No, there are no professional teams or endorsements (yet!) but there is a team of people working to bring you 9 Square in the Air. The Panel:

Jose, Social Media Guy

Angel, Playground Specialist

Brett, Operations Manager

These employees sat down to share the reasons they needed to do more with 9 Square in the Air than just play it, as well as a tip or two about how to score a win! We asked them a few questions, and here are their responses.

What Makes 9 Square in the Air such an amazingly unique game?

Karley-- Its ability to bring people of all ages and athletic abilities together!

Brett-- Practically anyone can play 9 Square in the Air and feel competent and have fun, and players can interact with one another. It’s like a fantastic icebreaker—without the awkwardness.

Angel-- I love that 9 Square in the Air doesn't require scheming or strategies in order to figure out a way to win. You just play it for the fun of playing!

Where did you first play 9 Square in the Air?

Niki-- In 2017, in Memphis, where I was working a conference, one year later I began working for 9 Square in the Air.

Jose-- I first discovered 9 Square in the Air at SpringHill Camps, in Michigan during one of their winter retreats. My students and I fell in love with the game right away and didn't want to stop playing.

What, in your opinion, is the most fun way to play?

Jose--I love to play tournament style! I am very competitive so I like to play by the official rules and end with a winner. I also like to play Ping Pong Doubles. This allows for more people to play at a time and creates teamwork because you have to alternate hits every time the ball comes in your square.

Angel-- I enjoy playing standard 9 Square rules with adult groups, especially women's retreat groups.

Niki—Doubles!

What’s your signature move to get someone out?

Jose— The Redirect: I like to face one way and then redirect the hit a completely different way than what I am facing. Some might call it The No Looker.

Karley-- I prefer defense vs offense so I am just trying to keep myself in the game rather than trying to get others out.

Brett-- I'm mostly a recreational player. However, I am currently developing a secret move which will be called The Pine Creek Tressle Feint! It will be devastating (most likely to me).

As you can tell, the most fun game on the planet attracts the most fun employees! If you’d like to talk to one of our team about why you should get your family a 9 Square in the Air or 4 Square in the Air set for Christmas, contact us, we would love to talk to you!
